Armenian Government Advances 'Peace Crossroads' Initiative as Constitutional Court Reviews Election Results

On June 27, Deputy Foreign Minister Mnasakan Safarian represented Armenia at the Dubrovnik Forum, where he introduced the government’s ‘Peace Crossroads’ initiative. He outlined a policy of balanced, diversified foreign relations, emphasizing expanded cooperation in political, economic and security sectors and positioning Armenia as a north‑south and east‑west regional hub.

On July 1, Armenia’s Constitutional Court began hearings on applications seeking to invalidate the June 7 parliamentary election results. Representatives of the ‘Strong Armenia’ movement and other parties presented their arguments, and the court is slated to issue a ruling by early June, potentially affecting the legitimacy of the recently held election.
