Armenian Politician Davit Ishkhanyan Warns of Azerbaijani Pressure Over Prisoner Returns

Former deputy chairman of the Artsakh parliament Davit Ishkhanyan issued a statement from a prison in Baku, saying international courts and tribunals treat the detained Armenians with contempt. He warned that Azerbaijan is "spitting on" Armenia's face and will intensify pressure unless the Armenian authorities secure the release and return of imprisoned individuals. Ishkhanyan also accused Azerbaijani officials of using the issue to undermine Armenia’s standing internationally and to support a broader “Western Azerbaijan” construction project. The politician called for decisive action by Yerevan to address what he described as psychological pressure and forced silence on the matter.
