Armenia's 'For the Republic' Party Seeks Court Review of Election Environment

Party leader Armán Babajanyan announced that the ‘For the Republic’ party will file a complaint with Armenia’s Constitutional Court, challenging the legal and public environment in which the recent election results were produced. The party argues that unequal conditions, organized pressure, financial and administrative influences, media attacks and foreign interference undermine the constitutional legitimacy of the vote and demand protection of free electoral competition.

In a related statement, Edgār Ghazaryan defended parliamentary candidate Davit Ghazinyan, claiming he has been subjected to political intimidation and unlawful criminal proceedings. Ghazaryan criticized the Anti‑Corruption Agency for failing to protect candidates and described the courts as biased tools of political pressure, asserting that the current judicial actions amount to a violation of candidate immunity.
