Slot is widely regarded as the frontrunner to succeed Ronald Koeman as the Dutch national team head coach, and the KNVB has already begun discussions. Sources in Liverpool FC say the club is prepared to supplement Slot’s salary during the first year of a potential KNVB contract, matching the earnings he would have received in England.
