Arsenal complete €40 million signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge to sign 24‑year‑old Greek winger Christos Tzolis for a fee of around €40 million (£34 million). The deal, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, was described as “no negotiation” because Club Brugge held firm on their asking price. Tzolis, who tallied 22 goals and 29 assists in 52 appearances during Club Brugge’s title‑winning season, will replace left‑winger Leandro Trossard, who departed for Besiktas. A medical and contract signing have been booked, and the player has publicly stated his desire to join Arsenal. The transfer sets a new record for the Belgian league’s biggest sale and makes Tzolis the most expensive Greek footballer ever. Romano added that Arsenal are “busy, busy, busy” and will continue to pursue other targets such as Morgan Rogers while monitoring the fitness of centre‑back William Saliba.
