Arsenal completes €40m signing of Greek striker Christos Tzolis
Arsenal announced the acquisition of Greek international forward Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge on a five‑year contract. The deal is reported to be worth around €40 million, making it the most expensive transfer of a Greek player abroad. Tzolis, 24, joins the Premier League champions wearing the number 17 shirt. He arrives after two seasons at Club Brugge where he recorded 108 appearances, 43 goals and 45 assists, and after earlier spells at PAOK, Norwich City and loan spells in the Netherlands and Germany. Brugge coach Ivan Leko praised him before the move, saying, “Tzolis is a fantastic example… he will show he is a top player at the highest level.” The player flew to London for a medical, confirming the third summer signing for Arsenal.
The transfer was also noted by Fabrizio Romano, who highlighted Club Brugge’s broader summer activity and the pending departure of other players, but confirmed Tzolis’s move as imminent.
