Arsenal eyes record €40 million move for Greek striker Christos Tzilis
Greek forward Christos Tzilis, who starred for Club Brugge last season, has become a target of Premier League side Arsenal. In the Belgian league he recorded nine goals and 13 assists in 26 matches, then delivered eight goals and ten assists in ten playoff games, ending the campaign with 22 goals and 29 assists from 51 appearances and helping Brugge clinch the championship and earn him Player of the Year honours.
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to meet a fee of around €40 million for the transfer. That sum would surpass the previous Belgian club record of €37.5 million paid for Charles De Ketelaere, making Tzilis the most expensive outgoing player in the Jupiler Pro League. The interest was reported by The Athletic and cited by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
