Macedonian sports: FFM defends referee decisions and wrestlers secure medals

The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) has issued a formal statement regarding the controversial match between FK Shkendija Aracinovo and FK Aresimi. Following claims from Shkendija Aracinovo regarding two denied penalty requests, the FFM confirmed that the referee's decisions were correct. After reviewing the footage via VAR protocol, the federation determined that the first incident involved a player exaggerating contact, and the second involved a handball in a natural body position. The FFM also condemned the aggressive behavior, insults, and threats directed at officials during the match, inviting representatives from Shkendija Aracinovo to the VAR center to review the technical explanations.

In separate sports news, Macedonian wrestlers Fati Vejseli and Redžep Hajdari have secured medals at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. Vejseli, competing in the freestyle 74kg category, advanced to the final after defeating Yasin Yesil of Turkey. Hajdari secured his place in the final of the 97kg category following a narrow victory over France's Adlan Vishkhanov. Both athletes are now positioned to compete for gold medals in the upcoming finals.
