FC Shkendija Arachinovo league performance

In the early stages of the First Macedonian Football League, FC Shkendija Arachinovo has faced mixed results. During a second-round match against FC Silex, Shkendija Arachinovo secured a 1-1 draw, with Besir Demiri scoring in the 32nd minute. The match was heavily influenced by Video Assistant Referee (VAR) interventions, which overturned a potential penalty for Silex and later awarded Silex a penalty in the 84th minute to equalize.

In a subsequent match, Shkendija Arachinovo suffered a 2-0 away defeat against Arsimi. Despite controlling more possession, Shkendija Arachinovo was unable to break through the Arsimi defense. Arsimi secured the victory through two goals from substitute Kaba Jakupi, who scored in the 63rd minute and again in the closing stages of the game.

Following the defeat to Arsimi, the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) issued a formal statement addressing Shkendija Arachinovo’s claims regarding two denied penalty requests. The FFM confirmed the referee’s decisions were correct after reviewing VAR footage, stating the first incident involved a player ‘exaggerating contact’ and the second involved a ‘handball in a natural body position’. Additionally, the FFM condemned the ‘aggressive behavior, insults, and threats’ directed at officials during the match, inviting club representatives to the VAR center to review technical explanations.
