Art Basel Qatar 2027 announced for Doha

The second edition of Art Basel Qatar is scheduled to take place in Doha from January 28 to 30, 2027, with previews on January 26 and 27. Organized in partnership with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and QC+, with Visit Qatar as the lead partner, the event aims to strengthen Art Basel’s presence in the MENASA region (Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia).

The fair will feature 82 galleries from 37 countries and territories, presenting 80 monographic projects. Under the artistic direction of Wassan Al-Khudhairi and Vincenzo de Bellis, the event will follow a format where each gallery presents a single artist to allow for more in-depth research and articulated exhibition projects.

The theme for the 2027 edition is ‘between / بين’, a concept designed to explore the dynamic relationship between the MENASA region and the rest of the world, serving as a space for transition, connection, and possibility.
