Art exhibitions open in Curitiba and Ribeirão Preto

Several art exhibitions are opening in Brazil. As part of the 16th Curitiba International Biennial, the Memorial de Curitiba is hosting two free exhibitions centered on the concept of ‘thresholds’. The first features Ciro Fernandes, a master of Brazilian printmaking, presenting approximately 100 works and woodcut matrices spanning over six decades. The second features Argentine photographer Abraham Votroba, whose work explores memory and time through photography.

In Ribeirão Preto, the University of São Paulo (USP) IEA-RP Cultural Space will host the 1st IEA-RP Watercolor Exhibition from August 20 to October 9. The showcase features over 70 works by 27 artists from various regions, including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. This exhibition is part of the parallel programming for the 51st Ribeirão Preto National-Contemporary Art Salon (SARP), organized by the Pedro Manuel-Gismond Museum of Art (MARP).
