Art-kino hosts award‑winning Cineast series in Vodnjan and open‑air 'Some Like It Hot' picnic in Rijeka

The 11th edition of the Art cinema series "Cineast" runs in the Bašta of Vodnjan from 9 July to 27 August. Free Thursday screenings feature a lineup of recent award‑winning auteur films, including Paolo Sorrentino’s “La grazia”, Kleber Mendonça Filho’s “Tajni agent”, Masche Schilinski’s “Gledati u sunce”, Oliver Laxé’s “Sirat”, Jafar Panahi’s “Jedan običan incident” and Park Chan‑wook’s “Bez izbora”.

In Rijeka’s Art‑kino district Benčić, an outdoor film picnic is scheduled for 28 August, showing Billy Wilder’s classic comedy "Some Like It Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. The event is free, invites visitors to bring blankets and picnics, and marks the close of the summer open‑air programme.
