Art. Pe contemporary art fair opens in Recife

The fifth edition of Art. Pe, the Contemporary Art Fair of Pernambuco, is taking place at the Recife Expo Center from October 14 to 18. The event serves as a convergence point for galleries, curators, collectors, artists, and publishers, showcasing a cross-section of Brazilian postmodern art.

The fair features 75 exhibitors, including 55 galleries from various regions of Brazil with national and international reach. Additionally, the event includes dedicated spaces for art productions from Argentina and Portugal, alongside cultural institutions, publishers, and bookstores.

Among the participants is the Perman Art Gallery, which is presenting the exhibition ‘Paisagem, Corpo e Caos-Mundo’ under the curation of art historian Joana D’Arc Lima. The gallery, founded by Sheyla Camargo Perman, features a diverse roster of artists including André Cardoso, Célia Campello, and Daniel Dobbin, among others. The fair also hosts the Arena BNB Cultural, which offers portfolio reviews for Northeastern artists, editorial launches, and discussions on relevant industry themes.
