Art routes showcase local creativity in Aalsmeer and Leiden

Regional art routes are taking place in the Netherlands, showcasing local creativity in Aalsmeer and Leiden.

The 28th Kunstroute Aalsmeer recently launched, featuring more than 100 participating artists. The event includes various art forms such as painting, photography, ceramics, and jewelry, alongside poetry, dance, and live music. The route serves as the kickoff for a broader cultural season in Aalsmeer, which will include concerts and cabaret performances.

In Leiden, the Kunstroute Leiden is scheduled for September 26 and 27, opening the doors of 165 artist studios, galleries, and workshops. The event features new participants and locations, including the former Volkshuis and various sites around Valkenburgse Meer and Stevenshof. Visitors can engage in creative activities, including a dedicated Kinderkunstroute for children, while adults can use digital filters to plan their own creative programs based on discipline or accessibility.
