US Doubles TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund to $402 Million for South‑Caucasus Projects
The United States has increased the capital of the TRIPP+ enterprise fund from $201 million to $402 million. The fund, created on 26 January 2026 after a meeting between Armenian Agriculture Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Treasury Secretary Mark Rubi, is intended to support infrastructure development along the TRIPP corridor in the South Caucasus and Central Asia. The TRIPP Development Company, which will implement the projects, is owned 26 % by Armenia and 74 % by the United States and is a subsidiary of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). The fund’s investment scope covers Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, providing loans, equity investments and grants to promote private‑sector strategic development. The TRIPP+ fund and the TRIPP Development Company are distinct legal entities, both part of a U.S. government financing mechanism that dates back to 1989.
