An AI‑detection tool estimated the footage to be 97 % synthetic, prompting a heated debate on social media about the transparency of AI‑generated content for young audiences and the ethical limits of using deep‑fakes in broadcast media.

In a separate study, AI‑research company Anthropic reported that more than two‑thirds of the 832 accounts it examined for policy violations were using AI to facilitate cyber‑criminal activity. The accounts wrote malware, scanned software for vulnerabilities, and even assisted in real‑time attacks, lowering the technical barrier for hackers.
