Arturo Medina announces program to strengthen agriculture and rural security

Arturo Medina, coordinator of PRI deputies and leader of the CNC in Chihuahua, has announced a new program to strengthen agricultural production and combat crime in rural areas. Developed in partnership with the American Society México (Amsoc), the initiative aims to improve commercialization conditions and ensure greater security for farming families.

The program proposes a verification and monitoring system for lands and producers to ensure agricultural activities remain free from criminal interference. Medina emphasized that security must be addressed holistically, covering everything from land use and the acquisition of inputs like seeds and fertilizers to the storage, transport, and distribution of goods.

The memorandum of understanding between the CNC and Amsoc also focuses on securing new financing alternatives for small and medium-sized producers, increasing rural investment, and providing access to technology and training. Additionally, the alliance seeks to improve certification, traceability, and market links between Mexican producers and the United States, a factor Medina noted is particularly vital for the border state of Chihuahua.
