Arturo Medina agricultural and regional development efforts

Arturo Medina, the PRI deputy coordinator in Chihuahua, has initiated efforts to address agricultural and regional development. He announced a program in partnership with the American Society México (Amsoc) designed to strengthen agricultural production and combat crime in rural areas. This initiative focuses on creating a monitoring system to prevent criminal interference in farming activities and aims to secure new financing, technology, and improved market links between Mexican producers and the United States.

In addition to agricultural security, Medina has emphasized legislative and social coordination with Guachochi Mayor José Miguel ‘Pepe’ Yáñez. This partnership focuses on managing resources for public works, rural roads, and community services, while also promoting tourism and sports to boost the regional economy in the Sierra Tarahumara region.

Expanding his legislative influence, Medina Aguirre has assumed the presidency of the Political Coordination Board (JUCOPO) of the Chihuahua State Congress for the third year of the current legislative term. In this leadership role, he stated that his administration will focus on “promoting consensus, protecting plurality, and strengthening dialogue” among political forces. He emphasized the need for institutional respect and cordiality to ensure that partisan competition does not interfere with legislative responsibilities or the interests of Chihuahua citizens during the upcoming electoral context.

Recent government reports indicate continued progress in these regional efforts. Mayor José Yáñez presented his second report, highlighting growth in tourism and rural infrastructure in Guachochi.
