Arun Kumar joins AIADMK after leaving TVK

Arun Kumar, a former candidate for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has joined the AIADMK. He met with AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami in Salem to formalize his return to the party.

Kumar had previously contested the Edappadi constituency during the assembly elections against Palaniswami. His nomination from TVK was initially rejected due to a technicality regarding the number of proposers, leading him to leave the party during the election cycle. Following the election, where Palaniswami secured victory, Kumar stated that he had left TVK during the election period and has now returned to AIADMK after previously leaving it to join TVK.
