Arunachal Home Minister Natung Rejects Claims of Chinese Encroachment in Taksing
Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung said there is no Chinese intrusion in the Taksing sector of Upper Subansiri district, calling recent reports "lies and social media rumours". He affirmed that Indian soldiers patrol the border 24 hours a day and that local residents stand ready to defend the nation alongside the army.
The allegations originated from the Nah Welfare Society, which claimed that People’s Liberation Army outposts and infrastructure have moved closer to the border over the past decade‑and‑a‑half. Natung dismissed these claims, noting that India and China share a 1,129‑km boundary in Arunachal Pradesh, an area Beijing refers to as "South Tibet" but which India considers an integral part of its territory.
