Arunachal Pradesh border dispute erupts over alleged Chinese interference with Indian patrols

A political dispute has emerged regarding alleged Chinese interference with Indian Army patrols in the Taksing sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Opposition leaders, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, have accused the central government of remaining silent on reports that China is preventing Indian forces from patrolling several locations near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Gandhi characterized the reports as “extremely alarming” and alleged that the government is attempting to suppress news of the situation rather than addressing China's actions. He further criticized previous government statements regarding territorial integrity following the Galwan clash.

In response, the Indian government has dismissed claims of fresh incursions or loss of patrolling access as “unsubstantiated and uncorroborated.” The External Affairs Ministry emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh is an “inalienable and integral part of India.” Government sources have denied that any slow encroachment by China is occurring in the region.
