Arvind Kejriwal says Punjab elections could be moved up to November 2026, backs CM Bhagwant Mann

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal told a road‑show crowd in Bathinda on June 12 that the Punjab Legislative Assembly polls may be held in November 2026 instead of the expected February 2027. He urged supporters to “make Bhagwant Mann the chief minister again” and highlighted the party’s recent civic victories, including winning 958 of 1,977 wards across municipal bodies.

Kejriwal praised the state government’s “honest and corruption‑free” record, noting that no allegations have been levelled against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during the four‑year term. He labeled the three opposition parties as the “Chitta Party”, “Jhagda Party” and “ED Party” while presenting the AAP as the only party working for the people.

The statements come ahead of the upcoming state election, with Kejriwal asserting that “I am told that the polls will be held in November, not February,” and calling for continued support for Mann’s administration.
