AS Roma appoints Tony D'Amico as sporting director

AS Roma announced that Tony D'Amico will assume the role of sporting director on 1 July, signing a three‑year contract. He replaces interim director Maurizio Lombardo, who has been overseeing the position this season.

The club, which finished third in Serie A and qualified for the Champions League, plans to strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign. Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has identified several targets, including United States forward Christian Pulisic, while also monitoring other potential signings across Europe. D'Amico’s agenda focuses on contract renewals and generating €50 million in plus‑value sales before the end of June.

Roma’s strategy aims to build a team capable of challenging for the league title and competing at the highest European level.
