AS Roma names Tony D'Amico as new sporting director
Tony D'Amico has been appointed as the new sporting director of AS Roma, with his contract effective from 1 July. The three‑year deal, with an optional additional year, includes a net salary of about €1.5 million per season. Until D'Amico can officially start, club secretary Maurizio Lombardo will continue in an interim capacity.
The club is arranging a payment of over €500,000 to settle a dispute with Atalanta, enabling D'Amico to join Roma promptly. The appointment comes as Roma prepares for upcoming contract negotiations, potential player sales, and a squad build‑up for the Champions League campaign.
