AS Roma pursues Jayden Oosterwolde and Jamie Gittens in transfer window

AS Roma is actively pursuing several targets to strengthen its squad ahead of the new Serie A season. The club is reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Fenerbahçe for defender Jayden Oosterwolde. Simultaneously, Roma has made formal approaches to Chelsea for winger Jamie Gittens. The Giallorossi requested a loan deal, but Chelsea has so far rejected the proposal, as the club views the 21-year-old as a core part of their plans.

Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini has noted that while the squad has seen significant arrivals, including Molina and Koulierakis, the roster remains numerically incomplete with two positions still to be filled. The club's transfer strategy has also been influenced by UEFA-related considerations and budget management.
