Asante Kotoko goalkeepers transfer between Ghana and Ethiopia
Several goalkeepers are transitioning between the Ghanaian and Ethiopian football leagues. Danlad Ibrahim, a 23-year-old Ghanaian goalkeeper, has officially departed Ethiopia Coffee to return to Asante Kotoko. During his two-year tenure with Ethiopia Coffee, Ibrahim recorded 21 clean sheets in 33 matches during the 2024/25 season and earned the Ethiopian Premier League Goalkeeper of the Month award for April 2025. He has signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko, which includes an option for a one-year extension.
In a separate move, Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara has joined the Ethiopian club Mechal. Camara, 26, joins Mechal as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Asante Kotoko. The Guinean international, who previously played for Soar Academy, spent the last two seasons in the Ghana Premier League. He has signed a one-year deal with Mechal to bolster their squad for the upcoming Ethiopian Premier League season.
