Asante Kotoko pledges infrastructure modernization on 91st anniversary

Asante Kotoko is pledging to modernize its infrastructure as the club celebrates its 91st anniversary. In a statement released on August 31, the club’s Board of Directors expressed a determination to develop the facilities necessary to compete at the highest levels of football and to adopt state-of-the-art technology.

The commitment addresses long-standing concerns regarding the club's current facilities, which are considered limited relative to its historical stature. While the club maintains offices, a clubhouse, and a training base at Adako Jachie, the training site requires significant improvements to meet modern standards. Additionally, the club does not own a stadium and currently utilizes the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as its home venue.

Founded in Kumasi on August 31, 1935, with the blessing of the Asantehene, the club reflected on its history as the ‘Porcupine Warriors,’ noting its ties to the spirit of the Asante Kingdom.
