Asante Kotoko strengthens squad with Ibrahim and Sanja signings

Asante Kotoko is strengthening its squad ahead of the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League season with key player movements. Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has returned to the club following a two-year stint with Ethiopian side Coffee Sports Club, where he recorded 28 clean sheets in 55 appearances. Upon his return to Kumasi, Ibrahim donated various supplies, including rice, oil, and water, to the Garden City Special School.

Additionally, the club has signed 18-year-old right-back Emmanuel Sanja from Vision FC on a three-year deal. Sanja, who has represented Ghana's Under-23 side, joins the Porcupine Warriors after a breakthrough season featuring 25 appearances and three goals. The squad, led by new head coach Eric Tinkler, is preparing to begin their campaign against Debibi United.
