Ascea political dispute moves to administrative court
In Ascea, a political dispute has moved to the judicial system as former deputy mayor Pietro D’Angiolillo filed an appeal with the TAR (Regional Administrative Court) against his removal from office. D’Angiolillo, whose position was revoked by Mayor Stefano Sansone in June, argues that the decision lacked adequate motivation. He stated that a revocation must be based on real facts and follow the criteria of reasonableness and the common interest, rather than a simple loss of confidence.
D’Angiolillo clarified that his legal action is not an attempt to regain his position, but to demonstrate that the administrative action was not carried out correctly. Mayor Sansone has expressed confidence in the legitimacy of the revocation and intends to defend the municipality in court, maintaining that the decision was properly motivated.
