Ascoli Calcio nears acquisition of Picchio Village training center

Ascoli Calcio is undergoing significant structural and sporting developments. The club has reached an agreement to acquire the Picchio Village training center, a move led by the Passeri family. Vice-president Andrea Passeri indicated that the family is prepared to take over 70% of the ownership of the facility from the heirs of former president Francesco Bellini, aiming to transform the center into a comprehensive sports citadel.

On the pitch, manager Francesco Tomei is preparing the squad for an upcoming match against Empoli. Tomei highlighted the tactical growth of the team and the individual progress of striker Matteo Brunori. Midfielder Gennaro Acampora also commented on his integration into the squad, noting the high quality of the group and the challenges of competing in Serie B, while emphasizing the importance of humility and hard work.

Tactically, Ascoli has established a recognizable identity based on possession and a flexible approach, primarily utilizing a 4-2-3-1 formation that can shift to a 3-5-2 to manage different match scenarios.
