Ascoli Calcio Picchio Village acquisition
Overview
Ascoli Calcio has moved toward a major acquisition of the Picchio Village training center. Initially, the club reached an agreement led by the Passeri family to take over approximately 70% of the facility’s ownership from the heirs of former president Francesco Bellini, with the goal of creating a “comprehensive sports citadel.”
Following this, the acquisition was officially finalized. Ascoli Calcio, alongside the Passeri, Turla, Ubaldi, and Galli families, purchased the real estate assets, which encompass seven hectares of land. Under the new structure, the club has exited its previous minority stake in the former owning company to hold roughly a 20% share in the new entity. President Bernardino Passeri described the move as a “milestone for the club,” noting its importance for investing in youth academies and foundational training.
