Ascott and WorldHotels accelerate hotel expansion in Vietnam and broader Asia

The Singapore‑headquartered Ascott Limited, owned by CapitaLand Investment, signed management agreements for nine properties in Vietnam covering more than 3,200 units in the first half of 2026. The deals increase Ascott’s Vietnam portfolio by over 30% to roughly 12,000 units across 42 operational and pipeline properties in 14 cities, with new openings slated from 2028 in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Phu Quoc, Da Nang and Quy Nhon.

WorldHotels, the global brand of independent luxury and lifestyle hotels within BWH Hotels, is developing more than 40 hotels across Asia after adding about 100 hotels in 2025. New projects include Essensia Sky and Parkway Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City (74 villas and 424 apartments opening in September), the Long Beach Resort on Phu Quoc, the Ecoland Hotel on Jeju Island in South Korea, and the Resort Country Club near Manesar, India. The expansion aligns with a premium travel market projected to grow from US$1.6 trillion in 2025 to US$3 trillion by 2033.
