ASEAN-Korea Innovative Culture Forum to convene in Manila

The 2026 ASEAN-Korea Innovative Culture Forum (PIC) is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2026, at the Ayala Museum in Makati City, Philippines. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), and the ASEAN Foundation, the event arrives as the Philippines assumes the 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship.

Under the theme “On Human Creative Sovereignty: Shaping the Future of Imagination and Cultural IP,” the forum will facilitate multilateral dialogue between policymakers and creative leaders from Korea and all 11 ASEAN member states. Key discussion topics include the impact of generative artificial intelligence, digital transformation, copyright protection, and cross-border intellectual property economies.

The program features high-level sessions and keynote addresses, including remarks from KOFICE President Chang-sik Park and a keynote by Chang-seop Kim, General Director of NEXON’s MapleStory. The event is designed to address how creative ideas can be transformed into high-value intellectual property within the evolving Asian cultural landscape.
