ASELSAN and ROKETSAN sign 1.2 billion Euro air defense contract

ASELSAN and ROKETSAN have signed a major procurement contract valued at 1,234,210,000 Euros for the supply of sub-components used in air defense systems. The agreement, announced via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), aims to expand the production and supply cooperation between the two Turkish defense industry leaders.

The contract supports the development of the ‘Steel Dome’ (Çelik Kubbe), an integrated national air defense network designed to unite various systems operating at different altitudes and ranges under a single network. Key components of this integrated structure include the Sungur, Korkut, and Gürz systems for low-altitude defense, as well as the Hisar-A and Hisar-O systems for low and medium altitudes. Additionally, the Siper system, developed in collaboration with TÜBİTAK SAGE, serves as a long-range component with a target range exceeding 100 kilometers.
