ASELSAN demonstrates KORKUT 35 air defense system in live-fire trials

ASELSAN has successfully conducted live-fire demonstrations of its KORKUT 35 Air Defense System in Konya, Turkey. The trials, attended by defense delegations from 12 countries, showcased the system's ability to detect, track, and neutralize various aerial and ground threats while in motion.

A primary focus of the demonstration was counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAS) capabilities. The KORKUT 35 successfully engaged multiple types of drones, including fixed-wing, delta-wing, and mini/micro UAVs, as well as kamikaze drones. The system utilizes 35mm cannons capable of firing approximately 1,100 rounds per minute, using ammunition that explodes near the target to increase the probability of a hit against small, low-cost drones.

The demonstration highlighted the system's mobility, specifically its 8x8 tactical wheeled configuration, which allows it to provide continuous protection to maneuvering forces. Beyond drones, the system is designed to counter fighter aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and air-to-ground missiles.

Separately, ASELSAN has announced significant recruitment efforts, seeking personnel for 68 different positions across engineering, software, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence sectors. These roles do not require the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) and are being processed through the company's digital career portal.
