ASELSAN LIFELINE HLM heart-lung machine completes 15 successful surgeries

The LIFELINE HLM, a domestically produced heart-lung machine manufactured by ASELSAN, has successfully completed 15 surgeries with zero errors. The device is part of Turkey’s ‘National Technology Move’ aimed at reducing foreign dependency in the healthcare sector.

Levent Öztürk, Chief Physician of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, stated that the successful operations demonstrate the clinical reliability of the technology. The surgeries were conducted at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital and Gaziantep University Şahinbey Research and Application Hospital. Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan played a significant role in the laboratory studies and testing required for the device's implementation.
