ASEP announces over 5,000 new public‑sector jobs in Greece

The Hellenic Civil Service Recruitment Organization (ASEP) has released two recruitment rounds covering a total of 5,131 positions in the public sector. The main round, identified as 7K/2026, will fill 3,265 permanent posts for mandatory‑education staff across the country, selecting candidates by merit without written exams. A separate announcement targets 1,866 permanent positions for persons with a disability of at least 50%, spanning all teaching categories.

In parallel, the Ministry of Interior has opened applications for 1,779 school‑cleaner jobs in 328 Greek municipalities. These posts, part of a broader programme that will ultimately employ 16,021 cleaners for the 2026‑2027 school year, are open to candidates with a basic education (gymnasium diploma) and include both full‑time and part‑time contracts.
