ASEP extends appeal deadline for 2024 recruitment to July 7, 2026
The Greek Supreme Council for Civil Servants (ASEP) announced a new deadline for submitting appeals to its 1/2024 recruitment call, running from 08:00 UTC on 2 July to 14:00 UTC on 7 July 2026. The extension follows a technical fault in the electronic submission system and applies to candidates for 73 permanent university‑education positions within the Vocational Training and Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ). The aim is to give all applicants sufficient time to lodge their objections before the final ranking tables are issued.
In a related development, ASEP disclosed that the upcoming third written public‑service exam in 2027 will include a newly introduced “text‑comprehension” skill assessment. Alongside knowledge, inductive reasoning and work‑statement items, candidates will be tested on their ability to read and interpret legislative texts, mirroring the verbal‑reasoning tests used by the EU’s EPSO agency. The change signals a shift from pure factual recall toward evaluating practical comprehension abilities of future civil servants.
