Asia Express launches new season with Niko Tokić Kartelo and Ante Travizi on RTL

Former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Niko Tokić Kartelo (60) has entered the new season of RTL’s reality competition Asia Express: Zmajeva ruta. He will race a 6,000‑kilometre trek across Asia together with his 36‑year‑old nephew Ivan Tokić, dividing duties between logistics and puzzles. Kartelo, who runs three companies in agriculture, said, "If I survive the 6,000‑kilometre route, that’s a good sign I’m ready for a new presidential race."

Co‑host Ante Travizi, also a former contestant, described the show as "very layered, dynamic and fun." He explained that the programme takes teams through Cambodia, Laos and Thailand without accommodation, transport or money, forcing participants to solve challenges and survive in harsh conditions. Travizi said his role is to accompany the candidates on the ground, explain tasks and sometimes give them secret missions. Both Kartelo and Travizi highlighted the demanding nature of the competition and its appeal to viewers this autumn.
