Asosejud investigation reveals ₡3.7 billion in payments to four providers

An investigation by the Judicial Investigation Department (OIJ) into the Association of Judicial Servants (Asosejud) has uncovered payments totaling ₡3,776,621,112 to four providers between 2020 and 2026.

A judicial resolution from the Criminal Court of the First Judicial Circuit of San José ordered the one-year suspension of ten individuals linked to the association's management, oversight, and general management. The court noted a high concentration of disbursements and identified providers that share legal representatives.

The largest payment, ₡2,221,078,143, was made to Productora de Eventos Especiales Solano y Compañía S.A. for event organization, catering, and rentals. Almacén Convensol S.A. received ₡1,091,388,404 for various goods including computers and tablets. While the court stated these payments do not alone prove irregularities, their volume and concentration serve as evidence in the ongoing criminal case for alleged fraudulent administration.
