Asosejud leaders suspended over failed Snoop Dogg concert funding

A criminal court in San José, Costa Rica, has ordered the one-year removal of 10 members of the board of directors, the supervisory body, and the general management of the Asociación Solidarista de Servidores Judiciales (Asosejud).

The measure follows an investigation into alleged fraudulent administration. A central point of the inquiry is the disbursement of ¢2.3 million to finance a failed Snoop Dogg concert, which was scheduled for December 3 at the Pedregal Event Center.

In addition to their removal from office, the individuals are prohibited from performing any administrative, representative, or supervisory acts on behalf of Asosejud. They are also barred from entering the association’s facilities or communicating with officials and witnesses related to the case. The investigation also seeks to clarify irregularities regarding preferential credits, building construction, and the acquisition of goods and services.
