Asp Catania and ANCE Catania sign protocol to boost workplace health
The regional health authority of Catania (Asp) and the construction‑industry association ANCE Catania have signed a protocol of understanding aimed at expanding preventive health measures for construction workers and their families. The agreement, signed by Asp director‑general Giuseppe Laganga Senzio and ANCE president Rosario Fresta, outlines joint actions on information campaigns, oncological screenings, vaccination drives, healthy‑lifestyle promotion, gender‑specific health issues and occupational safety.
The partnership seeks to increase participation in Asp’s preventive programmes by involving companies directly in the workplace, creating a model that integrates public health services with the construction sector’s operations. Officials highlighted the initiative as an investment in the region’s human capital and a way to bring health protection to workers where they live and work.
