Asp Siracusa launches PTE Smart telemedicine project

The Asp Siracusa has launched the ‘PTE Smart’ project, a technological enhancement initiative for emergency cardiology networks in the areas of Pachino, Rosolini, and Palazzolo Acreide. Funded by a 255,000 euro investment from the Sicilian Region, the project introduces integrated biomedical equipment and telemedicine to peripheral emergency centers.

The initiative aims to improve the management of cardiological emergencies in locations distant from major hospitals, specifically focusing on reducing diagnosis and intervention times for suspected acute myocardial infarction. The project was presented by local health officials, including extraordinary commissioner Gioacchino Iraci, to improve response speeds in critical cardiac cases.
