ASP Trapani signs agreement to expand pediatric healthcare services

The ASP Trapani has signed an agreement with freelance pediatricians to enhance pediatric services in the region. Under this arrangement, family pediatricians will be available at Pediatric First Intervention Points (PPIP) every weekday from 8:00 to 20:00, as well as on weekends.

Participation by pediatricians is voluntary and will be determined through a formal call for availability. Those serving at the PPIP will have access to hospital-level support, including laboratory and diagnostic services. Additionally, the agreement includes consultancy services for the emergency rooms at the hospitals in Marsala and Mazara during PPIP operating hours.

Sabrina Pulvirenti, the extraordinary commissioner of ASP Trapani, stated that the strategic agreement aims to unite territorial and hospital healthcare to provide more capillary and timely care for the community's children.
