Assam Flood Relief Receives Donations from Guru Randhawa and Reliance Foundation

Punjabi singer‑songwriter Guru Randhawa donated Rs 5 lakh to support emergency relief operations in the flood‑affected regions of Upper Assam. Reliance Foundation founder Nita M. Ambani announced a contribution of Rs 21 crore to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund to aid families impacted by the 2026 floods.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Nepalikhuti area in Sivasagar district, near the Assam‑Nagaland border, to assess damage, interact with residents and review ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures.

The floods have caused extensive loss of life, property and agricultural livelihoods across the state, prompting both private and public sector assistance.
