Association of the Bavarian Economy calls for industrial reform in Berlin
The Association of the Bavarian Economy (vbw) is sponsoring the Bavarian State Government’s Oktoberfest event in Berlin to foster dialogue between business leaders and federal politicians. During the event, vbw President Wolfram Hatz emphasized that successful reindustrialization requires close cooperation between politics and industry, citing the relationship between the Bavarian government and its business sector as a model for federal policy.
Hatz called for urgent measures to improve Germany’s economic competitiveness, specifically requesting relief regarding energy costs, labor costs, and taxes. He stressed that the autumn season must provide a breakthrough for the country’s industrial standing. Highlighting Bavaria’s economic weight, the vbw noted that the state contributes over 18 percent to Germany’s total economic output, with a GDP of 824.2 billion euros.
