Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri celebrates centenary in Italy

The Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri is celebrating its centenary in various Italian locations. In Città di Castello, the Tifernate section marked 100 years since its 1926 foundation with ceremonies involving local institutions, schools, and citizens. The event included tributes to the fallen and a fanfare concert at Palazzo Vitelli, aimed at sharing the association's history and values of service and courage.

In Viterbo, the centenary is being commemorated with a musical performance by the Carabinieri band at the Teatro dell’Unione. Directed by Colonel Massimo Martinelli, the concert features a repertoire ranging from Bellini and Bizet to modern compositions. The band, which evolved from a group of trumpeters in 1820 to a full orchestral complex, consists of 102 professional musicians.
