Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri centenary celebrations
Overview
The Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri is holding various commemorative events across Italy to mark its centenary. In Città di Castello, the Tifernate section celebrated 100 years since its 1926 foundation with ceremonies involving local institutions and a fanfare concert at Palazzo Vitelli.
In Viterbo, the Pietro Cuzzoli section held celebrations including a flag-raising ceremony, a parade, and a tribute to fallen soldiers. During a ceremony in Piazza del Sacrario, a laurel wreath was laid at a monument and a medal was awarded to the section’s flag. The event, which included a flyover by the Flyteam aerial patrol, was attended by local authorities and General Pasquale Muggeo, who highlighted the association’s role as a home for both active and retired members.
