Assofarm and unions sign new contract for municipal pharmacists
A new agreement for the renewal of the National Collective Labor Contract (Ccnl) for pharmacists employed in municipal pharmacies was signed on September 15. The agreement, valid until December 31, 2029, was reached between Assofarm and the trade unions Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl, and Uiltucs.
Beyond adjusting for inflation, the contract aims to modernize the professional role of pharmacists within the Italian healthcare system. Key economic measures include a monthly salary increase of 220 Euro for level 1 pharmacists, a new 30 Euro monthly professional indemnity for all pharmacists, and mechanisms to protect against future unexpected inflation.
The Federation of Pharmacists' Orders (Fofi) has welcomed the agreement, stating it aligns with efforts to value the healthcare services provided by pharmacists. Fofi President Andrea Mandelli noted that the agreement supports the evolution of the profession toward health promotion and the management of chronic patients, emphasizing the importance of recognizing pharmacists' competencies in local healthcare.
