Asti and Atri host major Italian health education events on first aid and cardiology

On May 9, 2024 two high‑profile health‑education events took place in Italy. In Asti, the Rotary Club concluded the 2025‑2026 edition of the Medicina Amica programme at the Institute Artom. More than a thousand secondary‑school students, teachers and local officials listened to Dr. Marco Scaglione, Dr. Claudio Nuti, Red Cross instructors and Dr. Marco Pappalardo as they demonstrated first‑aid techniques and the use of automated external defibrillators. The event highlighted strong student engagement and thanked participating physicians, pharmacists and educators.

The same day in Atri, the Teatro Comunale hosted the Cardio Atri 2026 conference, backed by the local ASL and the city. Cardiologists, nurses and other health professionals attended sessions on gender‑based medicine, patent‑foramen‑oveal (PFO) management, adapted physical activity for chronic disease, nutrition and the role of artificial intelligence in LDL‑cholesterol therapy. Enbital President Paolo Provino praised the collaboration, stating, "Siamo orgogliosi di aver sostenuto questa iniziativa che mette al centro non solo l'eccellenza scientifica, ma anche la dignità e i bisogni reali del paziente." Both events underscored the commitment of regional institutions to improve medical knowledge and patient care.
